Hi my name is Kim Patterson, I started Top Coat Nails & Spa as an answer to so many ladies and gentlemen asking me the big question, “Where is a good place to get my nails done around here?” People here in Purcellville just couldn’t find the type of nail services that they were craving. So I came up with a solution to their problem and decided to open Top Coat Nails & Spa.
We are an organic, eco-friendly, natural nail spa, dedicated to providing exceptional nail services within a clean, friendly and totally pampering environment. We will pamper you from the moment you enter until you melt into the chair. Our focus isn’t just on an everyday manicure or pedicure. We address not just the nails but the skin up to the elbows and knees working to make the whole package look amazing. All of our staff is carefully selected and thoroughly trained to provide top quality service. Our love for beauty is our driving force, we not only strive to care and transform our client’s nails but also showcase benefits of conscious nail care.
We use organic, natural and vegan spa quality nail products whenever possible, 10 free nail polish to provide services that care for our client’s physical appearance and mental relaxation while creating an atmosphere that indulges our clients.
Our goal is not only to make you look good but also to educate our clients about proper, clean nail care.

Your Relaxation

Please arrive for your appointment early so you can have some unwinding or de-stressing time in our relaxation area. There you can help yourself to a glass of white or red wine, freshly brewed coffee, a snack, or a cup tea that has been specially blended for Top Coat Nail Spa by Dominion Tea right here in Purcellville.

Please keep cell phone use to a minimum as not to disrupt other clients.

We want to make your time with us a relaxing and an unforgettable time. A time away from stress, a time away from your job, a time away from your family is priceless. Just a time to be a pampered gown up. Therefore please leave your children at home. We have self service alcohol here for your pleasure therefore children are not allowed in the Spa.

Our Treatments

Our philosophy focuses on relaxation with an emphasis on natural ingredients. All of our treatments are quality spa experiences. We believe that you can have beautifully manicured nails without having to expose yourself to the toxins and chemicals found in the typical nail salons. With that in mind, we have incorporated healthy product alternatives, along with fresh fruits, vegetables, and essential oils into all of our treatments to eliminate the risk of toxins interfering with your well-being. In addition, we even make some of our hand and foot exfoliates and lotions here in the spa so we can control what goes into these amazing products.

Our Obsession with Cleanliness

Your safety is our top priority. All of our implements are disinfected using hospital grade procedures to ensure your health.
Our pedicures basins are hand-made forged copper bowls*. Copper naturally fights Bacteria, Microbes, Contamination and Algae. Each bowl is thoroughly cleaned after each service. This is not the spa Jacuzzi style pedicure station as those hoses, screen and drains that carry the water from the bowl to the jets; these areas are very difficult to keep free of bacteria. Therefore, the jets are continually shooting bacteria back into the pedicure bowl. These type of pedicure stations are not the “clean” choice for Top Coat Nail Spa.

*The surfaces of copper and its alloys, such as brass and bronze, are antimicrobial. They have an inherent ability to kill a wide range of harmful microbes relatively rapidly, with a high degree of efficiency. Our Prices

The Big Questions is… “Why do you have a higher price point than most nail salons?” It's a fair question to ask and we're happy to answer!

First of all, we're not like most nail salons. We create a place to get away and be pampered, and escape from your day. We set out to create a toxic free environment where we use high-quality safe ingredients in our products for our services, so everyone can enjoy the experience of getting beautiful and healthy nails. These ingredients are more expensive to purchase, but we believe in only the best ingredients for our clients. You will never walk into Top Coat Nail Spa and be over-whelmed by heavy fumes and/or harmful toxins touching your skin. With these quality products we have created all new ultra-pampering signature services, focused on moisturizing the skin and anti-aging. You will not find basic or plain manicure/pedicure services here that you see at most nail salons.

Important to us, we work very hard to provide a fun, safe and equal opportunity workplace for our employees, the amazing women and men who are the back bone to our company. We couldn't survive as a business without them. Major reforms in the nail industry regarding sanitation, employment and inspections has been long overdue. Which is why we are extremely proud of our ethics and we stand 100% behind our policies and high standards.

Our Staff

Our experienced staff will pamper you from the moment you walk in the door. All of our technicians are licensed in Virginia and follow proper Department of Occupational and Regulation protocols for nail treatments. Before working with clients, our staff is put through a comprehensive training program to sharpen their skills and learn our signature services. Additionally, our technicians regularly undergo educational events and monitoring to make sure they continue to maintain these standards. We believe in communication with our clients and being chatty and transparent as possible. So please relax and chat away with our technicians.
